Worthy of Praise

My heart is troubled,
oh Father, my God.
I know not what to ask for,
nor what to say.
You know me inside and out.
Listen to the words of my soul,
Hold me tight, heal my heart.

Lord I need your strength to face each day.
Alone, I cling to You,
For You are always with me.

You ask of me much.
But it is You working in me,
that gives me hope;
gives me strength to press on.

Fill me with your Spirit,
That I might know You.
I thirst for your presence
and hunger for your ways.
Day and night your words
are written on my heart.

Guide my footsteps,
and the thoughts of my mind;
the words of my mouth,
That I might not sin against You.

You alone are holy,
Most High God.
Your mercy rains down from heaven,
and washes away the blight of my sin.

Your grace is poured out on me;
Your blessings flood my life.
Even in the midst of heartache and pain,
I am richly blessed by You, my God.

Oh that I could sing your praise,
Day and night, never ceasing.
For You are worthy,
Oh Lord, Most High.

Who am I,
That you make me your child,
A daughter of the King?
Great are You Lord, and worthy to be praised.

As your love overwhelms, words fail me.
Speechless I kneel before You.

Listen to the words of my heart,

hear the melody of my soul,

As I sing your praise all day long.

Great and Majestic are you, my King
Strong and Mighty in battle
Merciful and filled with compassion,
That all might come to know You.
